Position: The Centre Events Manager
Classification: Full-Time Hourly
Reports To: The Centre Director

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.
Position Summary:
The Events Director has a key leadership role at The Centre, responsible for the planning, execution, and overall success of a diverse range of events. This individual will oversee all aspects of event management and catering, from concept development and budgeting to logistics, marketing, and post-event analysis. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, creative, and results-oriented individual with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive annual event calendar that aligns with The Centre's strategic goals and target audiences.
Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of events, including concerts, conferences, galas, community festivals, etc.
Research and identify potential new event opportunities and revenue streams.
Negotiate contracts with vendors, performers, and other event-related partners.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing revenue potential.
Monitor expenses and track financial performance of each event.
Prepare post-event financial reports and analysis.
Marketing & Promotion:
Work with marketing team and promotion plans for all events.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling collateral and promotional materials.
Manage event registration and ticketing processes.
Logistics & Operations:
Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, equipment rentals, catering arrangements, staffing, and security.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and permits.
Manage on-site event operations, ensuring smooth execution and attendee satisfaction.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, sponsors, community partners, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, facilities, development) to ensure seamless event execution.
Provide excellent customer service to event attendees and clients.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor event staff and volunteers (if applicable).
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
Christian Faith:

Educational Background/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality management, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in event planning and execution, preferably in a similar venue or organization.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Budget management experience.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
