Summary
As a Home Health Aide at Lend-A-Hand Services, you will enhance the quality of life for individuals by supporting individuals in their homes and out in the community. This position supports individuals with their independence while receiving help with the day-to-day tasks of living alone.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as cleaning, meal preparation, and maintaining doctors appointments.
- Provide support to get out and participate in community activities
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of all services provided.
- Support clients in participating in recreational activities and community outings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
Qualifications
- We will train on all necessary requirements and no previous experience is necessary
- Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional is preferred but NOT REQUIRED. WE WILL TRAIN!
- Strong patient observation skills to monitor clients' health effectively.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with individuals
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding confidentiality.
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping tasks to help with cleaning is helpful.
