About The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Payments Operations, the ACH Specialist will join the ACH team engaging with the Bank’s core processor to ensure smooth file execution for the bank’s corporate originators and the bank’s own internal files.

About The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Payments Operations, the ACH Specialist will join the ACH team engaging with the Bank’s core processor to ensure smooth file execution for the bank’s corporate originators and the bank’s own internal files.
What You'll Do
- Manage the daily ACH aggregation and origination process
- Resolve CRM tickets/ issues that involve research or understanding beyond the basic day to day level. This includes research into items that don’t follow normal procedures, errors in posting, one off special circumstance
- Monitor and manage ACH Disputes queue. (POAs, LOIs, WSUDs, etc),
- Monitor implemented automation strategies to eliminate manual processes or improve service quality and ensure they are successfully executed
- Assist in regulatory and audit review
- Takes ownership and ensures timely response and resolution of customer and Bank personnel issues; ensures activities run smoothly and efficiently; and maintains knowledge of internal resources to mitigate disruption of service to customers
- Understand and adhere to appropriate escalation procedures and contingency plans
- Communicate recurring or serious issues to management and provide a viable solution to improve and respond to the issue
- Assure audit compliance and procedure quality control. Recommends and initiates corrective actions, and ensures compliance with established Bank policies, procedures and all applicable laws, Nacha rules and regulations. Studies and evaluates the impact of applicable Nacha regulatory changes
About You
- Bachelor’s degree with a financial background preferred; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in ACH Payments required
- Experience with ACH processing, file delivery and returns
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong business acumen and excellent relationship management skills across all levels
- Strong knowledge of the NACHA Rules.
- Works well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a pressurized environment and multi-task.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties
