About the Role A top-tier independent investment bank seeks a Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA/PM) to drive projects within the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AI CoE), initially focused on the Advisory business with planned expansion to Institutional Equities and other areas after 90 days.
This role blends structured project delivery with agile, investigative work- an ideal fit for someone who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments and brings both analytical rigor and creative problem-solving.
This is not an AI research or engineering role. However, the right candidate will bring genuine interest in AI, including familiarity with generative tools and a track record of self-driven experimentation or learning in this space
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Contribute to AI use case discovery, pilots, tool evaluations; capture and share key learnings
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Evaluate solution options, and translate requirements into functional specs, user stories, and wireframes
Project Management
- Own delivery of assigned projects end-to-end, from scoping to go-live
- Create and maintain project plans; manage dependencies, track progress, report status, and escalate risks
- Coordinate across IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to meet deliverables and timelines
- Track issues through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and stakeholder visibility
Required
- 5 years of experience doing Business Analysis and Project Management
- First-hand familiarity with generative AI tools or platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Highly proactive; demonstrates ownership and self-direction
- Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong task management skills
- Financial Services industry experience
Preferred
- Background in data & analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, Dataverse)
- Exposure to front-office investment banking workflows (e.g., M&A, capital markets, shareholder advisory)
