This position supports the ambition of the HR Operations centralized function to provide high quality and high touch service to associates at their first point of contact. This role will contribute to the processes that support the full employee life cycle, and plays a key role in supporting various HR functions to enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization. The incumbent will closely collaborate with HR Business Partners and other HR functions such as Legal, Compliance, and Payroll to ensure policies and programs are successfully deployed throughout the organization. The generalist collaborates with HR partners, management, and associates to foster a culture of open communication and resolution. The HR Generalist serves as a valuable resource for both associates and management, promoting a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review escalated tickets/issues that require a level of HR specialty knowledge (e.g. employee data management, HRIS administration, benefits administration, employee relations support, etc.)
- Responsible for the immigration program.
- Assist with HR Operations projects as needed, in a SME capacity.
- Provide guidance to Associates on HR-related matters by applying HR functional knowledge and analysis.
- Provide HR policy interpretation, coaching, and administration to Associates and People Managers, ensuring consistent compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure smooth and timely HR Operations and overall associate satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends in HR service delivery, and HR policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance, support, and coaching to junior team members, including training delivery as needed.
- Communicate essential information in a timely manner, and effectively use internal resources as a communication channel.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately, with tact and discretion.
- Collaborate with associates and managers to identify root causes of issues and implement sustainable solutions.
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years of HR Generalist experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in handling immigration cases.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or professional certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with HR COEs (i.e., Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition) and Payroll.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Analytical skills (i.e., ability to analyze data to derive insights, identify trends, and make decisions).
- Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to work within a team, and across departments.
- Strong understanding of employee relations principles.
- Adaptability to change; make independent decisions and escalate in complex situations as needed.

Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience addressing and responding to customer requests in a contact center or similar environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Ability to influence and act based on fast-paced and perpetually changing environment.
