Job Description
Under general supervision:
Facilitate quality improvements by developing and maintaining methods and procedures that allows production to meet requirements.
Gather and analyze data to report on and improve plant metrics.
Troubleshoot quality problems.
Manage projects for production application.
Maintain quality controls to ensure quality procedures and norms are met.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to develop solutions to problems and recommend necessary quality procedure changes.
Audit various product and processes.
Coordinate the sorting of defective components.
Position will require a significant percent of time be spent on the production floor occasionally lifting and moving parts. Position will also require competent communication skills with all levels of organization.
Qualifications
Good communication skills with production employees are critical to success in this job as is working with team members to drive solutions and report out status updates.
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, and experienced.
Work involves the application of basic engineering principles to develop methods and procedures to improve and maintain product quality standards.
Competencies in Statistical Process Controls (SPC), Capability Studies, DMAIC, Six Sigma and the Office suite of apps preferred.
