Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Continuous Improvement Lead to drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives in finance and across our organization. This role is essential in identifying opportunities for process optimization, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Continuous Improvement Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies, ensuring the achievement of performance goals and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous Improvement Strategy:
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, reducing waste, and improving overall efficiency across the organization.
  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with business goals to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives and regularly report on progress to senior leadership.
  • Lead efforts to improve customer experience in all the ways we interact with the customer.
  • Process Analysis & Improvement:
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process changes to improve performance.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodologies to implement actionable improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis of process problems, working with teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop project plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets to ensure project success.
  • Monitor and track project performance, adjusting plans and resources as needed.
  • Training & Mentorship:
  • Mentor and train team members on process improvement methodologies and tools, promoting a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to build continuous improvement capabilities across various teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, set priorities, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a change agent, influencing and inspiring others to embrace continuous improvement practices.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Use data analytics and process metrics to guide decision-making and measure the impact of improvement efforts.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics, trends, and project outcomes to ensure improvements are sustained over time.
  • Change Management:
  • Manage the change process effectively to minimize resistance and ensure smooth transitions when implementing process changes.
  • Develop communication strategies to inform and engage teams throughout the change process.

This position is a hybrid role working Monday through Thursday in the West Columbia, SC office with the option to work on Friday at home.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in continuous improvement or process improvement roles, preferably in B2B/manufacturing organization. Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodologies, along with demonstrated experience applying these principles to drive measurable results.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Tableau).
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Change management and leadership experience.

WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation:

This is a salaried exempt role. The salary range for this role and market is between $102,000 -128,000 annually. Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual’s tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employees in this role are also eligible for annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

BENEFITS

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
