The Commercial Cleaning/Custodial Training - Correctional Instructor will provide vocational, life skills & job preparation instruction to incarcerated individuals.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; job or work experience (s) in a relating vocational and/or life skills subject area Ability to operate and move heavy equipment by demonstrating safety and usage Ability to teach or demonstrate course work or job experiences associated with the Commercial Cleaning/Custodial Training program Candidate must also be able to develop lessons/course syllabus, maintain attendance time sheets, rosters, and create daily assignments for students A background in teaching is preferred, but not required Candidate should possess effective English communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to relate to and communicate well with individuals from all socio-economic levels and ethnic groups Candidate must be willing to work in a correctional facility in direct contact with incarcerated individuals Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
