GROUNDSKEEPER TECHNICIAN II
JOB DESCRIPTION
General Statement of Job:
Work in this class includes landscaping, mowing grass, and care of grounds.
The Technician reports to Grounds Foreman and Maintenance Supervisor.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to seed, mows, and gives general care to lawn or grass areas.
- Ability to plant flowers, shrubs, trees and other items as needed.
- Ability to remove snow, dirt, leaves, and rubbish as needed.
- Ability to use and repair mowers, tractors, and other related equipment.
- Ability to repair and maintain road surfaces.
- Ability to work and follow OSHA and EPA guidelines.
Additional job Functions or Assigned Tasks:
Perform other related work as required.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Completion of High School
- Five years of experience in the grounds trade.
- Completion of course or workshops in the grounds trade.
- To have or the ability to obtain a pesticide license.
- Have a valid NC driver's license and to have or the ability to obtain a CDL.
Minimum Qualifications or Standards Required to perform Essential Job Functions:
Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including backhoes, bobcats, graders, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, hedge clippers, chain saws, shovels, rakes, etc.
Other Requirements:
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record and be punctual.
