HVAC Technician III
Job Description
This is a position of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition Tech III. It requires a master or journey level knowledge of HVAC trade. The technician must be able to complete assigned tasks, work orders, and reports to the Maintenance Supervisors.

This is a position of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition Tech III. It requires a master or journey level knowledge of HVAC trade. The technician must be able to complete assigned tasks, work orders, and reports to Maintenance Supervisor
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of the methods, practices, and materials used in HVAC maintenance repair
- Ability to work and follow OSHA and EPA guidelines
- Skilled in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to perform work
- Ability to repair heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, equipment, and energy management system
- Ability to understand and work from sketches or drawings
- Ability to follow oral or written instructions as assigned
- Ability to plan and procure materials, and work independently
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Training and Experience
- Completion of High School
- Five years of experience in the HVAC trade
- Completion of courses or workshops in HVAC or related trade
- EPA certification in refrigerant handling and recovery
- Ability to obtain license in HVAC
- Have a valid N.C. driver’s license
Minimum Qualifications or Standards Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
- Able to perform work based on self-abilities and upon completion be acceptable in materials, workmanship, and appearance. Work should be of a technical nature and would require inspection and passing of building code laws
- Must maintain an acceptable record and be punctual
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Requires the ability to climb and maneuver on ladders, scaffolding, and/or in tight spaces. Physical demand requirements are for Medium Work.
