INFORMATION: This position is designed to provide students struggling in their ELA class to meet regularly with an interventionist to support instruction and re-teach as needed. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of MA ELA frameworks and Reading frameworks in other core disciplines for grades 6-8, experience working as a core content interventionist, an ability to collaborate with colleagues, and an enthusiastic approach to teaching all students. The successful candidate will also demonstrate an understanding of child development and an ability to design effective and rigorous standards-based units of instruction, including measurable outcomes. Current Massachusetts Educator License with SEI Endorsement is preferred.
HOURS PER WEEK: Full-time (1.0 FTE)
COMPENSATION: Per LEA Unit A contract
Lenox Public Schools provide a generous reimbursement toward the tuition and fees incurred in pursuit of a Master’s degree for educators hired who do not yet hold a Master’s degree.
