The Lenox Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional at LMMHS for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will focus on providing one-to-one support for a specific student with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the student in transitioning between activities and environments, ensuring safety at all times.
Facilitate sensory breaks and provide tools such as fidgets or calming strategies as needed.
Offer individualized assistance during instructional activities, helping the student engage with the curriculum and classroom tasks.
Implement positive behavior reinforcement strategies to support classroom routines and help the student meet behavioral expectations.
Collaborate with the classroom teacher and special education team to ensure the student’s needs are being met effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with students with social and academic needs
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or background is desirable
Previous experience working with students with unique needs

COMPENSATION: Per Unit C Contract
