Duties Description Serving as the Complaints Coordinator, the Addictions Program Specialist 1 (or Trainee), will perform the following duties:
Additional Comments Salary Range: Trainee 1: $52,198 $66,634Trainee 2: $58,247 $74,135Grade 18: $65,001 - $82,656Candidates will serve a two-year traineeship leading to an Addictions Program Specialist 1, SG-18. The salary range listed for this posting reflects the full range for this graded position, factoring in annual performance advances based on satisfactory annual performance reviews. Candidates with no previous State service will begin at the hiring rate (starting rate of the salary range) listed above, plus any applicable Location Pay/Geographic Pay/Shift Pay differentials. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations, and negotiated union contracts.Telecommuting may be discussed as part of the interview process.The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program allows public service employees to have the remaining balance on direct loans forgiven after 120 qualifying payments are made under an accepted repayment plan while working full-time for an eligible employer. Duties Description Serving as the Complaints Coordinator, the Addictions Program Specialist 1 (or Trainee), will perform the following duties:
- Monitor Vulnerable Persons Central Register (VPCR) reports from Justice Center liaison; track and file complaints as required, and field calls and emails relating to complaints,
- Prepare complaints and allegations for bi-weekly intake meeting and participate in monthly Credentialing Complaint Review Committee (CCRC) meetings,
- Prepare Decision letters following Intake and CCRC meetings and monitors the resolution of the decision which includes completion of required education and training,
- Track status of resolution of decisions, and track 90-day extensions and enter complaints in database,
- Coordinate notification of hearing requests to Counsel’s office, notification of Impaired Driver Services (IDS) providers to Training and Learning Development Unit and notification of peers on VPCR reports,
- Participate in the continued development and refinement of the Credentialing Management System (CMS) related to the Complaints process and coordination,
- Complete special projects as needed that may include updating CASAC complaint form, website, and other coordination documents.This position requires excellent writing and grammatical skills, along with organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work assignments.This position requires travel occasionally to areas not served by public transportation (approximately 10%).
