Position Overview: Aluminum Pulse Welder We are seeking a skilled and certifiedAluminum Pulse Welderwith expertise in3G and 4G weldingacross multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for weldingstructural metalcomponents according to blueprints, work orders, or verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld structural metal components that have been pre-assembled and tacked into place.
• Produce full penetration welds that meet or exceed NDE testing standards (x-ray, ultrasound, magnetic particles, dye penetrant).
• Perform high-quality, cosmetic welds free of defects.
• Inspect completed welds and clean excess weld, slag, and splatter using tools such as grinders and chipping hammers.
• Troubleshoot welding equipment issues and resolve them promptly.
• Perform gouging and grinding as necessary to ensure seams are sound, weld reinforcements are properly removed, and components meet specifications.
  
  

Requirements:

• Must have 3 years of experience as an Aluminum Pulse Welder in a Shipyard environment
• Proficient in3G and 4G welding in at least3 or moreof the following disciplines is preferred:
• Flux Core
• Short Arc
• Aluminum
• AluminumHeliarc
• Stainless Steel
• Carbon-to-Stainless Steel
• Submerged Arc

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in producing full penetrationweldscapable of passing NDE testing.
• Ability to accurately lay out track marks and follow specifications.
• Understanding of common welding symbols and how they apply to job tasks.
