Job Summary

Duties And Responsibilities
- Learn how to implement data quality rules in Continental’s Data Quality Center using SQL and then begin independently creating them
- Work with Business teams and IT Application Support teams to resolve issues identified in the Data Quality Center
- Provide support for data-related inquiries and issues
- Create and maintain information within Alation, Continental’s Data Catalog, including business term definitions, data definitions, data flow diagrams and data entry guidelines
- Learn to profile data across sources to identify discrepancies and errors and work with stakeholders to remedy
- Participate in data governance initiatives, helping to define and implement best practices for data stewardship across the organization
- Other duties as assigned.
- Apply SQL skills to develop data quality rules within Databricks
- Use SQL, Spotfire, or other methods to profile, QC, and compare data across data sources
- Learn the E&P well data lifecycle and associated business processes
- Learn oil and gas application data models including Aries, Quorum, SAP, WellView, SiteView, ProCount and others
- Written and verbal communication skills; high degree of organizational awareness and attention to detail
- Able to efficiently solicit and document data flows and the related business processes
- Able to facilitate peer and stakeholder engagement
- Delivers informative, well-organized presentations and documentation
- Able to execute project management and change management practices
- Ability to quickly adapt and exemplify flexibility around process changes and shifting priorities

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience within the Oil and Gas industry working in a data-related role OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Information Science/Management, Business, Finance, or related
- Beginner-level SQL skills
- Strong communication skills: Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Information Science/Management, or a related degree
- Certified Petroleum Data Analyst (CPDA™)
- Experience within the Oil and Gas industry
- Intermediate-level SQL skills
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
