Job Description
Designs and coordinates the control and electrical functions associated with the concept, design, detail, assembly, and debugging of standard and custom equipment.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of electrical schematics.
- Preparation of electrical panel layouts and creation of electrical parts list for custom and standard products as assigned.
- PLC programming of equipment, including design and documentation of PLC programs.
- Operator interface programming and ensuring effective communication with internal staff, customers, and vendors.
- Providing follow-up service of machinery at customer locations for installation assistance and/or customer training. Responding to requests for phone, email, or online services, which may require domestic or international travel.
- Assisting with wiring, cable routing, marking, and inspection of machinery in the assembly department.
- Commissioning of electrical components and machine function during the assembly portion of assigned projects.
- Maintaining professional customer relations and helping to ensure customer satisfaction with the product as a whole.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC, PLC programming, automation, and controls engineering.
- Proficiency in electrical design, control panels (AutoCAD Electrical), and HMI programming.
- 3 years of experience with electrical design, schematics, and control panel layout.
- 3 years of experience with PLC programming, particularly Allen Bradley.
- 3 years of experience with HMI programming.
- Experience troubleshooting software and machines on the floor.
- Ability to interface effectively with customers.
- AAS with 6 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience.
- Experience in custom automated equipment.
- Experience with motion control and vision systems.
