We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Global Benefits to lead the design, implementation, and management of our employee benefits programs. The Director of Global Benefits will ensure the delivery of competitive, cost-effective benefits offerings that align with the company's values, enhance employee engagement, and meet the needs of a diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of benefits administration, and the ability to navigate the complexities of regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Strategy and Program Management:
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive benefits strategy, including health, wellness, retirement, and other employee benefit programs. Ensure that benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee relationships with benefits providers and vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and cost optimization. Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors, including insurance carriers, wellness program providers, and retirement plan administrators.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and HIPAA. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including filing necessary reports and updates.
- Lead initiatives to educate employees on available benefits options, eligibility, and enrollment processes. Develop and deliver clear and concise communication materials, including benefits guides and open enrollment presentations, to enhance employee understanding and engagement.
- Manage the benefits budget, working to control costs while ensuring the continued competitiveness and effectiveness of benefits programs. Analyze data and trends to make informed recommendations for program adjustments and enhancements.
- Lead a team of 3 benefits professionals, providing direction, coaching, and development to ensure the delivery of exceptional service to employees. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, claims resolution, and benefits inquiries. Ensure efficient and accurate processing of benefits paperwork, and ensure that benefits systems are maintained and updated.
- Analyze benefits program data to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on program performance, cost trends, and employee satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
- Certification in Benefits (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar) preferred.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in benefits management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or strategic role.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other ancillary benefits.
- In-depth understanding of federal and state regulations related to benefits, including ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other relevant laws.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in benefits administration software and HRIS systems.

Salary : $160,000 - $240,000
