Education requirements are listed below: Two-year technical degree in electrical/electronic technology or related technical discipline with 3 years of distribution operations experience OR equivalent experience as indicated in experience below in Experience field
Work Experience requirement listed below: Minimum of 7 years of distribution dispatching experience with a thorough knowledge of distribution systems and equipment and proper switching and tagging procedures.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise a group of dispatchers on a rotating shift schedule in support of Distribution Operations goals.
- Provide a safe and reliable operation, dispatching, and restoration of facilities for a portion of AEP's distribution system.
- Coordinatef facility outages optimizing diverse input (involving internal and external entities), necessary Outage Management Systems for restoration efforts and ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Supervise the development and implementation of switching instructions.
- Implement normal and emergency procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation of a portion of AEP's distribution system.
- Supervise the proper surveillance of a portion of the AEP distribution system and proper assistance in maintenance of voltages, loadings and security of the system, involving ability to analyze system conditions.
- Train and coach dispatchers.
