The primary focus of this role is to identify, promote, and sell Fire Protection Solutions. The representative must be able to qualify sales leads, determine customer needs, and match them with appropriate fire protection solutions. Responsibilities also include networking, attending educational seminars, and enhancing the company's market presence.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities: *
- Build and maintain a strong network to identify new sales opportunities.
- Conduct prospecting activities, including cold calling and lead generation.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and recommend suitable products and services.
- Sell Life Safety Inspection Agreements and Preventative Maintenance Agreements to clients.
- Perform Facility Site Surveys to assess fire protection needs and provide recommendations.
- Conduct building surveys and site walk-throughs to evaluate fire protection requirements.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals addressing customer needs with financial justifications.
- Deliver professional sales presentations, seminars, and product demonstrations.
- Maintain communication with existing and previous clients, keeping them informed about new products and services.
- Foster and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
- Track sales activities, including calls, orders, sales performance, lost business, and customer/vendor issues.
- Provide periodic territory sales forecasts and market analysis.
- Actively participate in networking groups, trade shows, and industry seminars to enhance market presence.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and contribute to business development strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience and satisfaction
- Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience required
- Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the sprinkler/fire protection industry is preferred.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and competitive spirit.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Develop a sound understanding of all product lines and services offered by the company
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to travel.
