Summary
The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing support across all HR functional areas and is the go to HR person at a site(s). The HR Business Partner will have the opportunity to participate in or lead company-wide HR initiatives or processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sr. HRBP and site leaders to align and implement HR strategy
- Coach and advise line leaders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures
- Administer HR programs, initiatives and processes at the site such as performance management, talent and succession planning, and employee engagement.
- Foster effective employee relations; conduct workplace investigations, coach supervisors and assist in resolving employee issues (or conflict)
- Support leaders on creating development goals/plans and facilitating development discussions
- Administer employee leaves by coordinating and communicating with leave vendor, employees and supervisors
- Conduct talent acquisition process for frontline positions.
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding process
- Support supervisors in managing employee timecards and attendance records
- Create and maintain employee files and other employment related documentation in a confidential manner
- Maintain and update data in HRIS systems accurately and timely
- Assist in the implementation and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to employees
- Run regular and ad hoc reports for KPI tracking and other analysis to proactively recommend opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate training and development programs and assist in delivery of HR training programs.
- Identify and implement initiatives to continually develop the culture and engage employees
- Assist with planning and coordinating plant events and meetings
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations and organizational policies
- May provide HR administration and support to other functional areas
- Identify and implement continuous improvement measures
- Participate in or lead company-wide HR projects or processes
- May be required to perform other duties and responsibilities to meet the needs of the business
- Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
Required qualifications, skills, and experience for the job; education background, certifications, relevant work experience, technical skills, and soft skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 2 years of experience in HR operations or a related role
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with proactive mindset working with moderate supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player with a positive mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Problem solving, analytical, and facilitation skills
- Excellent organization skills and keen attention to detail
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
