Job Requirements This Human Resources Generalist is accountable to ensure HR services are delivered in a cost-efficient & high-quality manner. The HR Generalist is expected to have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks. You will use the HRIS system to ensure employee records are up-to-date and confidential. You’ll act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for recruitment processes, acting as the intermediary between business leaders and the recruitment team, ensuring seamless onboarding for all new hires.
- Manage and maintain employee files, HR records, and ensure timely updates in the HRIS system.
- Support plant leadership with coaching on organizational design, providing guidance on structuring teams and workforce planning.
- Assist leaders in handling difficult employee conversations, offering strategies for managing performance, conflict resolution, and development opportunities.
- Lead and present HR initiatives and programs to plant leadership, ensuring buy-in and alignment with business goals.
- Facilitate strong working relationships between HR and plant leadership to drive engagement and improve communication.
- Utilize data to inform decision-making processes, and coach leaders on leveraging workforce analytics for planning and performance.
- Support global HR projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with corporate objectives .
- Act as a trusted advisor to plant leaders on employee relations, policy implementation, and leadership development.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, serving as a resource for leaders on HR policies and legal requirements.
- The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and 3-5 years HR experience
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment
- Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Understanding of local and federal laws as it applies to employment laws
- Experience with Workday is also a plus.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with proven experience in managing HR records, ensuring accuracy and timely updates in HRIS systems and employee files.
- Demonstrated ability to listen actively and carefully to both leadership and employees, ensuring a deep understanding of issues before providing thoughtful, tailored solutions.
- Experience coaching leaders on sensitive topics such as organizational design, employee relations, and difficult conversations.
- Proven ability to balance both administrative HR tasks and strategic initiatives while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
