The lead programmer analyst position, reporting to the Assistant Director of Information Systems, serves as a technical resource for support and maintenance of integrations with the Banner ERP system and other university systems. This position is an onsite, non-remote, in person position. This position does not currently nor in the future offer Visa sponsorship.

Major Responsibilities
- Perform complex analytical and programming activities associated with supporting systems and interfaces
- Design and perform analysis and author programming associated with maintenance, modifications, and enhancements to existing administrative applications and utilize a variety of development tools to provide update and inquiry access to academic and administrative data
- Investigate and become familiar with emerging technologies with the intent of implementation as well as to provide training to other team members and act resource for developing standards of these technologies
- Provide technical consultation to the assistant director, project leaders, managers, and departments
- Author reports, workflows, integrations and interactive web applications utilizing technologies such as SQL , JSON , REST APIs and javascript
- Meet with end users to define and design ways to update applications that meet ongoing changing requirements and deliver data and applications in a manner supported by the department
- Maintain and review a centrally located repository of documentation. Documentation should describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, modifications, and execution instructions necessary for operations
- Associates Degree
- 2 or more years of programming experience
- Experience with relational database systems and authoring SQL statements
- Experience writing, testing, debugging computer programs and writing program documentation utilizing current methods of analysis, design, programming (including SQL and PL/ SQL ), installation, testing, debugging, and documentation
- Professional experience working with and producing reports, dashboard and data visualization within an enterprise reporting systems such as Evisions Argos, Crystal Reports, Tableau and Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other IT staff, end users, and vendors
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with Oracle or other Enterprise RDBMS
- Experience working in a large, complex organization
- Experience working with Banner Student systems
- Experience with Linux and Shell scripting
- Experience working within federal, state, business and unit policies regarding appropriate use of information including the handling of confidential and restricted data (“ FERPA ”, “ PII ”, etc.)
