What you'll do...
Powertrain Test Engineer with the ability to interface to Product Engineering
Test Engineer With WMA Test Sequence Programming For
eTransaxle EOL Final Test
Transmission EOL Final Test, Main Control (Oil Cal Test), Leak Test
Axle NVH Test
Maintain WMA test sequence program commonality across all test machines
Test instrumentation calibration.
Evaluate test stand needs for new products (cost studies) and technology
Lead test stand equipment procurement to support new programs
Interface with cross-functional teams: Controls, Safety, IE, B&F, PD
Facilitate test stands for new programs, including pallets, perishable items, stand hardware and controls
Resolve testing issues and cascade to all programs
Daily evaluation of prototype production defects using statistical data analysis
Interface with build team to operate test stands efficiently
Manage CIB funds Identify future equipment/technology needs
Interface with skilled trades to maintain test stands
Follow Ford OS Behaviors
Follow Prototype and PTME Quality Operating Systems Standards (QOS)
Support CPMT/TPMT weekly meetings
Address testing equipment gaps and opportunities
Ability to develop testing methods for new product components
You'll have...
Bachelor of Science in Engineering
5 years of transmission/axle testing
Experience With WMA Software Preferred
Knowledge of transmission functions and logic
Basic knowledge of various test processes (Leak Test, In-Process, EOL Final Test)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in test machine procurement
Must be self-starter and motivated
