The Supervisor of Sterile Processing serves as the administrative leader responsible for ensuring the success of the department by implementing the organization's mission, vision, values, and goals. This position oversees daily operations, ensuring high-quality care outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor all aspects of daily sterile processing operations.
- Oversee staff management, including hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as DNV, OSHA, and other governing bodies.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and efficiency.
- Provide guidance to the clinical team in evaluating workflow and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with perioperative leadership to foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial management of the department.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years of experience in sterile processing required; 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification: Certification in sterile processing required (must be maintained).
