Job Title: Spray and Fertil ization Technician

General Function:

As a Spray and Fertilization Technician, you are responsible for spraying and fertilizing residential and commercial properties with quality and accuracy. You will be expected to maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism while on the job. You will perform a variety of spraying and fertilization tasks including but not limited to measuring chemicals, spraying chemicals on lawns, fertilizing lawns, while operating specialized equipment and machinery to accomplish the job.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Mixing and measuring chemicals and liquids.
• Applies Seed, fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs or trees by spraying or spreading.
• Daily maintenance checks on sprayer units, hoses, and spray nozzles.
• Operates hand tools, power equipment, and vehicles such as hand spreader, powered spray hoes, stand on fertilizer spreader, truck and trailer, or other similar machines.
• Operate our scheduling software to route, schedule, and document work.
• Educates and consults with clients regarding spray and fertilization related topics.
• Meet and comply with industry safety standards and company policies.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in training and developing new Spray and Fertilization Technicians.

• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
• Opportunity to continue year-round work by pursuing available snow removal positions.

• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions and complete assignments.

Education and Experience:

• Valid Driver’s License Required.
• Applicators License A&E, *will compensate for testing related fees.
• L License *preferred *will compensate for testing related fees.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• On-the-job training offered. *1 year experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, balancing, stooping, reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, pushing and pulling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally; must be able to lift 40-50 consistently.
• Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
• Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working with chemical. *Items will be provided.
• This position is continually exposed to environmental changes. Must be able to withstand working in warmer and cooler temperatures. This is a fast-paced work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
