Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and provide exceptional service throughout their visit
- Accurately document customer concerns and create detailed repair orders
- Perform thorough vehicle walk-arounds and initial assessments
- Communicate effectively between customers and technicians
- Present service recommendations clearly and professionally
- Explain vehicle issues, repair options, and costs to customers
- Recommend and sell appropriate maintenance services
- Provide accurate time and cost estimates
- Follow up with customers during the repair process
- Process warranty claims accurately
- Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely repairs
- Maintain detailed documentation for all service work
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Basic working knowledge of automotive systems and terminology
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency
- Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
- Availability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a service writer or service advisor
- Automotive technician experience
- Experience with automotive service software and parts catalogs
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
- Formal automotive training through vocational, college, technical school, or OEM programs
- Knowledge of latest automotive technologies and service procedures
