TITLE : Infant Toddler Teacher - Early Head Start Program

REPORTS TO : Early Head Start Center Manager
FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for planning, implementation, and administration of an Early Head Start classroom, including daily operation, supervision of staff and volunteers, and adherence to the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) regulations, the Head Start Performance Standards as well as the Head Start Act (OHS) regulations

Primary Job Responsibilities
Supervision and Professional Development :
- Work in collaboration with co-teacher on an ongoing basis to raise the scores of the following tools : Classroom Assessment Scoring System(CLASS), Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS) and Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).
- Meets with Center Manager 2x each month for documented supervision meetings where the following topics will be covered : review of classroom observations, policies and procedures, teamwork, Professional Development Plans (PDPs), CLASS, ITERS, QRIS, Teaching Ounce Scale outcomes.
- Work in collaboration with co-teacher to ensures compliance with program policies and are working together to hold necessary case conferences and documenting appropriately.
- Provides guidance and direction to floaters and substitute teachers through daily contact and team meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
