JOB TITLE : DISPATCHER

JOB PURPOSE :

This position is responsible for assigning motor vehicles and drivers for the conveyance of freight or passengers and compiling lists of available vehicles. The assignment of vehicles is determined by factors such as length and purpose of trip, freight or passenger requirements, and preference of the user. Additional responsibilities include issuing keys, record sheets, and driver credentials. The Dispatcher records the time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected return time and investigates overdue vehicles. The Dispatcher may confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise and maintain a record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses. The Dispatcher may establish service or delivery routes, supervise loading and unloading, issue equipment to drivers (such as hand trucks, dollies, and blankets), direct activities of drivers, assign helpers to drivers, work at vehicle distribution centers, and assign vehicles to customer agencies.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Copy of Commander approved AF Form 172.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Must have certifications / licenses as well as the capability to work with the following operations and systems :

Understand filing systems, electronic filing, creating / utilizing Word documents and Excel spreadsheets,

Training is required for personnel identified by the Contractor as a Unit Records Professional.

Before an alcohol or drug test is administered, the applicant must sign a Leo Tech, LLC consent form authorizing the test and permitting the release of test results to the Medical Review Officer (MRO) and the designated Human Resources Representative. Failure to sign the release or cooperate in test procedures shall be deemed a withdrawal of the employment application.
