What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Coordinator position at Leon County Schools?
This position works independently to perform a wide range of complex contractual and procurement activities, supporting the District's goals.
Specific duties may include:
-Drafting complex contract and solicitation, including performance requirements, pricing models, and evaluation methodologies used in formal and informal solicitation and selection processes, contracts, and agreements.
-Assist in overseeing contract administration functions for the District, including numbering, tracking, and administering the District's formal contracts and agreements.
-Assist in administering the advertisement of formal competitive solicitations for non-construction purchases and related public notices, including preparing agenda items for Board consideration.
-Assist in overseeing ethical, consistent, accurate, and cost-effective processes for reviewing and approving purchase requisitions, distributing purchase orders, and resolving purchasing issues.
-Communicate and consult with various District personnel regarding needs for materials, supplies, and required delivery schedules. Serve as the Procurement Officer for assigned solicitations.
-Acts as a liaison and consultant between vendors, the Purchasing Department, and multiple program areas to resolve disputes promptly.
