What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Accreditation Clerk position at Leon County Sheriff's Office?
The primary function of the part-time position is to support and assist the agency’s Accreditation function using project management, data entry, and tracking of agency accreditation requirements. This position will assist the Accreditation Team with monitoring and updating agency accreditation files, ensuring distribution of new and revised written directives, collation of data, and development of professional internal communications and reports. To be successful in this position, the employee must possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail, demonstrate competency in time management, possess intermediate to advanced computer skills, possess excellent communications skills (both oral and written), and demonstrate superior problem-solving skills.
- Monitor and track employee hires, separations, and transfers within accreditation records.
- Assist in assembly and revision of accreditation files according to CFA, CALEA, FCAC, and FMJS standards.
- Assist in revision, review, and publication of agency written directives.
- Respond to internal agency requests for policy data.
- Compile and format reports according to accepted standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts to obtain required documentation.
- Other miscellaneous duties that are a part of the unit.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.
- Thorough knowledge of English vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Associates Degree or equivalent number of hours of coursework preferred.
- Accreditation knowledge preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Normal office environment and hours (20-25 hours a week between the hours of 8am-5pm M-F.). Occasional travel or work outside of office hours.
- Sit for long periods, view computer screens for extended periods.
- Walk throughout the facility and satellite facilities.
- Must be able to lift, push, carry or pull a minimum of 25 pounds independently.
