We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. This person will play a crucial role in ensuring we consistently meet production goals and published lead times by coordinating schedules, monitoring shipping requirements, optimizing capacity, and aligning with various teams to ensure commitments are met. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and project management to effectively forecast production needs and maintain seamless workflow. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules to align with revenue targets and company’s lead time objectives
- Conduct daily scheduling meetings and communicate shipping schedules cross departmentally
- Coordinate closely with purchasing, production, warehouse and logistics to ensure on-time delivery is met
- Consistently review work in process, from order entry through engineering and final assembly to determine capacity and lead times of current workload
- Schedule labor to align with the daily and weekly production requirements
- Partner with quality team to maintain a high level of quality standards while meeting targets
- Report daily and weekly metrics, and provide status updates for open orders including reprioritizations, stock outs, and any delays
- Maintenance production software to ensure accuracy and relevancy
- Develop improvements and efficiencies in the scheduling role
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast production needs
- Proficiency in Excel and expertise in ERP/MRP systems
- Associates degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and practices
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated
