We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 150 retail store locations in eighteen states, supported by our corporate offices (in Mount Airy, NC, and Cobden, IL), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities.
Job Summary :
The Trailer Distribution CDL Driver is remotely based within the designated driving region, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for delivering trailers to customers and retail locations, ensuring safe and timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to DOT regulations and company policies. This position reports directly to the Assistant Manager, Trailers, and does not have direct reports.
Job Responsibilities :
- Transports trailers to designated locations.
- Ensures all products are delivered safely, securely, and in good condition.
- Adheres to all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries.
- Communicates effectively with customers during deliveries to ensure satisfaction.
- Addresses any customer concerns or issues professionally and promptly.
- Performs regular inspections and maintenance checks on delivery vehicles.
- Reports any vehicle issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintains accurate delivery logs and records.
- Maintains accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service, while complying with DOT regulations and company procedures.
- Completes all required paperwork and documentation for each delivery.
- Follows all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal and public safety.
- Participates in safety training sessions and adheres to company safety standards.
- Works closely with the logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Assists with loading and unloading products as needed.
