Join us as a Quality Engineering Intern. This is apaidsummer intern opportunity in our Quality organization. Quality Engineering interns work closely with and assist staff with various assignments. The summer intern program consists of 10 weeks of hands-on real world experience in a career development environment. Participation in the intern program gives preference for future semesters as an intern/co-op within DRS Naval Power Systems. A typical student will participate in 2 semesters as an intern/co-op at DRS throughout their junior and senior years.

- Perform professional duties in support of the Quality organization, gradually increasing in level of difficulty and responsibility
- Gain exposure to and understanding of program and product quality as well as supplier quality initiatives, systems, and processes
- Contribute to the execution of projects and organizational objectives when asked
- Create various documents and electronic information
- Update relevant data using database applications
- Assist in answering questions and/or refer inquiry to appropriate person
- Assist in researching information as needed for projects and other objectives
- High school diploma or GED and completion of 1 semester of college; preference given to students in their junior or senior year of undergrad
- Grade point average of 3.0 or above
- Diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
- Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
