Summary of Position:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources, The Senior Manager of Compensation, Benefits, & Payroll (Total Rewards) will play a critical role in shaping the overall compensation structure & strategy of the organization, in addition to enforcing current compensation-related policies.
This position is responsible for ensuring that our compensation and benefits programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business objectives. The successful candidate will lead a team to manage payroll processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Additionally, this role will involve analyzing compensation data to make informed recommendations for salary adjustments and benefits enhancements. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, driving operational efficiency through Cost of Labor reporting, executing merit bonuses & promotions, salary benchmarking, and enhancing employee satisfaction. Proficiency in HRIS platforms and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP) and strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, FMLA).
Ultimately, the Senior Manager will contribute to employee satisfaction and retention by fostering a fair and motivating compensation environment. This role will have 5 direct reports; 2 Compensation, 2 Payroll, 1 Benefits. Success in this role will also be defined by your people management skills and your ability to manage & motivate the team under you and collaborate with the other members of HR management.

1. | Administers Compensation Management program (including job classification, salary structure & performance management activities) on a day-to-day basis, including:

Oversees timekeeping process to ensure accurate & timely recording of hours & payment. | 10% | |
Ensures compliance with Compensation Management related regulatory requirements & laws, including but not limited to:

Stays abreast of Compensation Management trends & best practices, recommending changes to AWPC's policies & practices. | 5% | |
Administers health & welfare benefit plans, as well as retirement & other benefit plans on a day-to-day basis, including the following benefit plans:

Stays abreast of Benefits Management trends & best practices, recommending changes to AWPC's benefit plans, policies & practices when applicable or new plan year permits. | 5% |
Ensures compliance with Benefits Management related regulatory requirements & laws, including but not limited to:
Descriptions (SPDs) preparation & distribution

3. Qualifications for Position:
A. Education
Bachelor's degree in related field (or education/experience equivalency); Masters Degree or MBA preferred, not required |
B. Experience
10-15 years of Compensation Management & Benefits Management experience at the manager level in a mid-sized or large company environment (preferably in a manufacturing environment) |
C. Competencies & Attributes
1. In depth & broad knowledge of Compensation Management & Benefit Management principles & best practices 2. Highly developed interpersonal and internal customer service skills with the ability to manage and motivate different personalities. 3. Excellent verbal & written communications 4. Strong analytical skills 5. High level of confidentiality 6. Proven ability to manages service provider relationships 7. Sound knowledge of HR Information Systems, with knowledge of SAP a plus 8.
