We have multiple needs for Senior Powertrain Project Engineers that have a focus on engine and hybrid systems. These roles are in Chelsea and Auburn Hills. Ideally, we are looking for candidates that have past Stellantis experience.
As a Sr. Project Engineer specializing in the development of both conventional and hybrid powertrains, you will be responsible for leading the calibration and validation of base engine controls, aftertreatment controls, hybrid controls or on-board diagnostic (OBD) systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for general engine and hybrid powertrain development work and testing as well as validation and certification activities performed on chassis and engine dynos as well as in-vehicle / machine in the application environment. Working with highly motivated individuals from across the globe on a variety of engines, vehicles and markets, the Sr. Project Engineer will be able to increase their scope of experience with technology used across the globe. This Sr. Project Engineer position requires a highly motivated individual with an eagerness to learn and make a positive contribution.
This position will work onsite at our client located in Auburn Hills, MI or Chelsea, MI.
Job Responsibilities :
- Lead the installation and commissioning of new powertrain test setups, including conventional combustion engine and hybrid configurations.
- Identification and implementation of necessary connections, measurement points and instrumentation to support testing efforts.
- Plan, coordinate and execute the testing of engines, aftertreatment systems, powertrain systems and OBD systems on engine / chassis dynamometer or in application.
- Analysis of measured parameters and system performance relative to project targets.
- Calibration and validation of electronic control unit parameters to satisfy program objectives.
- Summarize findings and prepare presentations / reports for internal and customer review.
- Manage customer hardware and project component inventory and logistics.
- May involve work onsite at customer facilities, vehicle test trips to support ongoing development programs.
