Job Title: Senior Test Engineer

Duties
LER TechForce LLC seeks a Senior Test Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 2 days/ week. Duties: apply quality assurance techniques; compile data and define changes required in testing equipment and procedures, and overhaul processes for current and new products; conduct engineering vulnerability assessment of systems; contribute to the delivery of innovative, flexible, and integrated solutions to meet customer changing business needs; coordinate input from internal and external customers to understand needs and perceptions; perform root cause analysis, error correction, functional and risk analysis of system level problems (5 Whys, Fishbone); provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical features are considered and function properly; assist development team in the scheduling and maintenance of resources needed for automated testing; represent test team in multi-focused team meetings; use varying test environments to analyze and verify system behavior; work in cross-functional teams across the organization to architect, implement and troubleshoot complex solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or related field, and 3 years of experience in any engineering or technical role which included at least one of the skills listed below. Included within the 3 years of experience, must have experience in all of the following: electronic control systems and software architecture for automotive applications/programs; MATLAB, Simulink or LabVIEW; automation of testing scripts; validation and verification testing; system performance evaluation and troubleshooting communication protocols; CAN and J1939; version control requirements management software (PTC Integrity, Jira or SAP); embedded systems or operating environment; C language; diagnostic and calibration tools (CANape, CANanlyzer, or Motohawk); HIL systems or CAN communications analysis; performing test setup and configuring hardware setup/connections using test bench to conduct validation and verification testing.
