POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for planning, implementing, updating and overseeing the company's employee safety program. This is an onsite position at our Production Center in Prineville, OR.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Create, implement and update safety programs that are both State and Federal OSHA compliant while ensuring that they are being adhered to daily
- Attend facility safety meetings, training and quarterly inspections
- Investigate incidents that occur onsite and identify possible root causes; ensure incident reports, training rosters and all other required documents are filed and archived
- Review Incident Reports with supervisors and lead persons; meet weekly with the Field Safety Supervisor
- Maintain all documentation of safety procedures, incidents and related events
- Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation and work practices; work with management to provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace
- Act as a liaison between Production Center management, Risk Services and workers compensation division
- Complete JHA’s and Hazard Assessments for the facility as required
- Complete new employee safety briefings and any required re-training
- Plan, conduct and evaluate facility evacuation and fire drills
- Ensure required safety programs are reviewed annually
- Conduct area safety audits with supervisors and lead persons
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Educational/Experience Preferred:
- Undergraduate college degree preferred
3-5 years of experience working on safety related programs and OR-OSHA requirements - Safety experience in manufacturing, production, or construction preferred
Required Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Google sheets, Google docs, Google sites and Google mail.
- Proficient with internet based programs.
- Knowledgeable of data analytics

- Skilled at working effectively to meet deadlines

- Ability to adapt to new learning and training opportunities
- Ability to work on their own and take initiative when presented with tasks
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting not to exceed 50 pounds

Work Environment:
- Office and on the floor work; the worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- Work hours will vary in order to cover various facilities shifts. 24/7 on-call status required
