Title: Afternoon Child Care Assistant
Reports To: Program Director
Hours: 1:00pm-6:00pm (additional hours possible)
Job Goal: Aid and assist the director in the care of children
Qualifications:
Able to work in an efficient, effective and confidential manner with peers, staff, parents, and administration.
Demonstrates skills in dealing positively with staff, students and parents.
Shows evidence of being a self-starter who is able to anticipate and accomplish necessary work.
Job Description:
Provide assistance to the Director in supervising preschool students by:
Helping to facilitating a safe and engaging childcare program
Establishing and maintaining an environment that promotes respect for staff and children
Implementing a stimulating, robust daily schedule designed for early childhood
Making certain the daily needs of children are met
Ensuring the program's compliance with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA)
Performs any other related duties as assigned by supervisor or administrator.
