Automotive Accounts Payable

Leson Chevrolet Co. Inc is single point family-owned dealership looking for

experienced, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable Accountant for our dealership.

This individual must be proficient in principles and terminology of automotive/dealership

accounting. It is essential to understand the significance of deadlines and the ability to

apply the appropriate level of urgency to all tasks.

Accounts Payable

 Receives, reviews and processes vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.

 Prepares and manages payment schedules with third-party payment processor.

 Reviews and reconciles vendor statements to ensure accounts remain current.

 Ensures that all expenses are approved by appropriate management levels.

 Issues checks for all requests processed by accounting.

 Gathers and maintains vendor files to ensure accurate tax information is on file.

 Processes 1099-NEC reports annually to IRS.

 Reviews and maintains assigned accounting schedules.

Employee Prerequisites:

 High School Diploma; College Degree a plus.

 3-5 years dealership experience and extensive knowledge of accounting duties

preferred.

 Excellent computer skill levels (Internet and MS Outlook); Automotive DMS

experience preferred.

 Competence to manage in a high influx call/email environment and aptitude to

transition from one task to another effectively and concisely.

 Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.

 Flexible schedule to work full-time with varying extended hours during accounting

cutoff periods.

 Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
