Position: Sit Down Forklift Operator

Location: 41 Eagle Rd, Danbury, CT 06810 (to move to Brewster, NY future)

Shift: All shifts

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

LesserEvil is looking for a motivated Sit Down Forklift Operator to join our team.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Operate a Forklift and/or pallet jack to load and unload trucks, organize materials in designated areas and general material handling responsibilities.
• This includes performing a pre-check of all equipment and reporting any issues with management ASAP.
• Ensure that materials are organized and safely stored. Giving extra attention to rotating products based on expiration dates.
• Pulling and staging products based on daily orders.
• Inventory responsibilities (ex. counting materials, rearranging storage areas, etc.)
• Monitoring product quality, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
• Operating various pieces of equipment (Forklift, Palletizer, Handtruck, Pallet Wrapper, Electric Pallet Jack, etc.).
• Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset and assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience, preferred
• Previous certification in forklift operation, preferred
• Comfortable speaking Spanish, preferred

Working Conditions

• Loud, busy fast-paced manufacturing/Warehouse environment
• The job requires you to be on your feet for up to 8 hours
• The environment contains airborne oil and seasoning particles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
