Job Title: Camp Store Supervisor
Location: Letchworth State Park Campground
Employment Type: Full Time 35 to 40 hours per week

Job Summary:
The Camp Store Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the camp store, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for campers, staff, and visitors. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, handling sales, maintaining a steady supply of firewood and store goods, and overseeing additional tasks such as social media updates, online vendor orders, and the cleanliness of attached laundry facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the camp store, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and train store staff, scheduling shifts and delegating tasks as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and shop to restock the store 3-4 times per week using a provided work van.
• Place orders with vendors, including a weekly Pepsi order and online ordering with vendors, to ensure product availability and variety.
• Process sales transactions, handle cash, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting campers and visitors with purchases and inquiries.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Manage clearance items, ensuring proper pricing and promotion to move inventory.
• Ensure a consistent supply of firewood
• Maintain the camp store’s Facebook page with updates, promotions, and relevant information.
• Oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of attached laundry facilities.
• Collaborate with camp leadership to promote store specials, events, or themed merchandise.
• Address and resolve any customer or staff issues in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and comfort driving a work van
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling proficiency.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, online ordering platforms, and social media management (e.g., Facebook) a plus.
• Passion for working with people and contributing to a positive camp community.
• Must be 18 years old.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 35lbs, and perform light cleaning tasks.
• Capable of loading, unloading, and hauling firewood and store supplies.
• Comfort working in an outdoor or semi-outdoor setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
