DUTIES: Responsible for the management of the new Athletic & Human Performance Air Dome athletic facility including:

- Discipleship of 1 full time employee, and student employees to facilitate spiritual growth through their work in the athletics
- Engaging with, supporting, and encouraging discipleship within the athletic department
- Ensure the best facility operations in the Southwestern United States
- Continually look for opportunities to improve air dome operations, presenting those in an organized and prioritized fashion
- The primary duty is to seek and secure external customers to generate revenue to cover the annual expenses of the Dome
- Create partnerships with athletic event vendors and third-party organizers to maximize external revenue to LeTourneau University
- Build relationships with potential LeTourneau Athletics sponsors, Air Dome sponsors, and event sponsors
- Work with the City of Longview Parks & Recreation Department to ensure strategic alignment between their sports tourism goals and the role of LeTourneau University
- Provide leadership and support to the various track official’s organizations
- Planning, organizing, leading, and evaluating all activities for general operations and event management on Dome related activities for intercollegiate games, campus user events and rental events including, but not limited to:
- Training and supervising full time staff, part-time student and event staff; coordination of all student payroll for games and events
- Coordinate support services such as parking, public safety, concessions, event security, teams and game officials
- Oversight of event management for all games and events, including set up and tear down.
- Responsible for the preparation of bid materials and budgets for the conference and NCAA post-season playoffs, tournaments, etc.
- Liaison with LeTourneau Facilities Management for maintenance and grounds of Air Dome facilities to include submitting, coordinating, and tracking of work orders, preventive maintenance, etc.
- Liaison with Conference & Events for bringing in events to campus
- Responsible to recruit, hire, train, schedule, and manage the student employees for the front desk
- Scheduling of all events in the Air Dome for internal users and external customers via EMS program
- Ensuring compliance of safe working conditions, and safe recreational conditions, compliance with ADA, and ongoing safety training for student employees
- Using the athletic facilities platform to market the department to prospective student athletes and potential donors. This is primarily accomplished by providing visually attractive, organized, and consistently clean facility
- Also serve as a member of the senior staff of the athletic department
- Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director of Athletics, or Vice President for Athletics
QUALIFICATIONS: LeTourneau University seeks a person with an enthusiastic and contagious Christian faith committed to a Christian higher education that integrates Christian faith with learning.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in the administration of athletic programs at the intercollegiate level or venue management.
- An understanding of track & field.
- Strong organizational ability.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other internal and external constituents.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- A commitment to compliance at the NCAA Division III.
- An acceptance of and commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
