What are the responsibilities and job description for the Career Services Program Coordinator position at LeTourneau University?
Part Time- 25 hours per week. Primarily weekdays, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and weekends may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of Career Fairs, Seminars, and career skills events.
- Assist with PowerPoint presentations, handouts, flyers, and other documents.
- Assist with the supervision and task assignment of student interns’ responsibilities within Career Services.
- Facilitate needed action and hiring forms for student workers for work study and on campus jobs
- Manage and monitor online job posting system Handshake
- Assist in the hosting of on-campus recruiters, scheduling, and student sign-ups.
- Advise and assist students with résumé and job search resources, scheduling appointments, and general information.
- Manage, maintain, and report information including student data, graduate placement, Career Fair attendance, evaluations, and employers.
- Assist in maintaining Career Services website on Content Management System (CMS).
- Responsible for the mailings, invoices, registrations, fees and budget supervision of Career Fair and Orientation events.
- Education: Associates in Secretarial Science or related field is preferred.
- Work experience in the secretarial field
- Excellent computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access), Adobe Photoshop, graphic design and desktop publishing, and web page editing (WYSIWYG and/or HTML).
- Experience in planning and implementing events
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Outgoing personality with refined public relation skills and a desire to interact with students
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
