Level Up Boxing & Fitness is looking for a positive, independent, and highly productive individual to keep the front desk running, drive sales, and keep the gym in order. Let’s be honest, the Front Desk/Sales Associate is the face of the gym biz to everyone who walks through our doors. We need someone who will be attentive to customers, multi task, sell memberships, and be productive on the job.
The perfect candidate can manage the front desk independently, sell gym memberships, can listen carefully and learn quickly, can communicate effectively, can stay level-headed in hectic situations, can juggle multiple tasks during the course of the day, and loves to be part of the community.
*Able to understand, communicate (speak/read/write) in Spanish? Thats a plus!
Pay: $15-$20 per hour plus commission ($25 for each contract membership sold, we average 15 contract memberships per month, $25X "memberships you sell" = $$)
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday - 2:00pm to 9:00pm
Friday - 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Saturday - 9:00am to 1:00pm
Shift Flexibilities? We absolutely need the front desk staffed during all group classes and during business hours. Employees who desire more hours may discuss options with the Owner. We often have fitness events on Saturdays and Front Desk associates have the option to work during those events.
Room For Growth? Front Desk Associates that display commitment and desire to grow as an emerging leader will be trained in leadership and management. After demonstrating proficiency in duties, independence, and showing positive trends in sales performance, salary will be provided instead of the hourly wage.
Front Desk & Sales Associate Responsibilities:
- Answer the phone, respond to SMS messages using the gym mobile phone
- Check members into classes
- Track members participating in Intro Program and prepare certificates
- Upgrade/downgrade/suspend memberships
- Book appointments for guests or non-members, follow up on no-shows
- Sell memberships and sign-up new members
- Track monthly membership sales and present trends
- Follow up non-members that decline membership
- Communicate policies and answer questions
- Handle inquiries from walk-ins
- Manage other basic membership issues
- Manage online membership software (Ontraport and ZenPlanner)
- Manage Level Up Front Desk email account for solving member issues that doesn’t require input from our Admin
- Cleaning (making sure gym is clean, disinfect frequently touched surfaces, sweep/remove debris during shift and before closing, assist the class instructors by disinfecting jump ropes, Thai pads, or other equipment)
- Track inventory of merchandise, update retail catalog, and present sales trends
- Restock merchandise
- Write an End of Day summary that provides daily staff-wide communication regarding membership issues, inventory needs, facility notes, items sold that day, etc. Communicate this information as needed with the Owner
- Prepare for events by printing spreadsheets and signs
