Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly Ballet, and jazz, and possess the ability to inspire and educate students of all ages. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging creativity and expression through dance.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups.
- Conduct engaging dance classes that promote physical fitness, creativity, and self-expression.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Organize recitals, performances, and other events to showcase students' progress.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and special projects related to dance education.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address classroom dynamics effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in teaching dance or related fields is preferred.
- Strong background in Ballet; additional experience in Theater or Early Childhood Education is a plus.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and classroom management strategies is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children in childcare or special education settings is beneficial.
- Skills in photography may be advantageous for documenting student performances and events.
