Construction Manager

We are seeking a Construction Manager to support and oversee capital and O&M projects across a variety of facility types in the New Jersey area. The role involves full lifecycle project management—including planning, bidding, construction, and closeout—for infrastructure such as offices, data centers, service centers, and dispatch facilities. Candidates must be local to NJ and able to travel to sites as needed, though daily office attendance is not required.

Job Type: Contract (Contract-to-Hire Potential)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget goals are met
• Oversee planning, engineering, construction, and closeout of facility-related projects
• Prepare and review documentation including scopes of work, bids, contracts, and specifications
• Conduct site assessments and develop project plans and job packages
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners (architects, engineers, contractors, etc.)
• Monitor quality assurance, compliance, contractor performance, and safety standards
• Provide regular status reports to leadership and support project audits and closeout activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Required)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in construction, engineering, project management, or related fields
• Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and documentation
• Experience reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD is a plus
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel within the NJ region and occasionally work outside regular business hours
