Specialty civil engineering contractor has an immediate opening for a experienced Construction Project Manager to manage projects in the field, assist on various types of construction tasks and support administrative work.
Responsible for the supervision of multiple, concurrent projects and installation teams in the installation of foundation system solutions for commercial, government and residential customers. Responsible for the safety of as well as the quality of work completed from the installation teams.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare daily reports and records
- Oversee implementation of work packages and day to day smooth functioning of the project
- Schedule crews based on contractual work
- Track and turn in laborers, equipment operator's time on a weekly basis
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Maintains project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems
- Maintains inventory and daily required equipment. Provide inventory quarterly audits
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Supervision of multiple, concurrent projects
- Maintain work packets to ensure all necessary documentation is included
- Monitor job costs to ensure completion within budget
- Qualifications :
- Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
- Strong managerial / supervisory skills and organization abilities required
- Knowledge of construction practices, methods and policies.
- 2-3 years of experience as a site coordinator (manager) or related position
- Applicant must be able to obtain necessary government clearances for work on military installations
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Must have clean valid driver’s license and provide driving record
- OSHA and D.O.T. compliance familiarity
- Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Word and Excel
