Program: Summer and Afterschool Day Treatment Program
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and driven QMHS Provider to support our summer and afterschool day treatment program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children aged 5-13 and a strong understanding of behavioral challenges. This role involves providing direct support to a designated group of children, helping them cope with various behaviors, and ensuring their emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to a designated group of children (ages 5-13), addressing their unique behavioral and emotional needs.
- Assist children in coping with challenges and behavioral outbursts, using positive reinforcement and therapeutic techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely notes and reports regarding each child's progress and behaviors.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
- Drive children to and from activities as needed; must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid High School Diploma/ GED
- Experience working with children, particularly in a therapeutic or educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with children and families.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive during challenging situations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to drive as needed.
