The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a deep understanding of West African food, "Expo" management, and the ability to inspire and lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is pivotal in food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Duties

• Prepare a variety of authentic and delicious Nigerian dishes, ensuring the highest quality and taste.
• Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation meets quality standards and adheres to health regulations.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste through effective planning.
• Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook, with a strong focus on Nigerian cuisine.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• A passion for food and a desire to create memorable dining experiences.
• Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team in a high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with both kitchen and service staff.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.34 - $22.32 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
