The Leviton Finance team is looking for a Deduction Representative I to join the Credit, Accounts Receivable & Claims department.Â

The Deduction Representative I is responsible for evaluating, processing, and resolving customer claims (deductions), working together with customers and various internal departments. This position provides opportunities for growth with on-the-job training and job skill development through challenging work, collaboration with seasoned professionals and management support.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and resolve customer deductions utilizing various data files.
- Record returns and credit memos via data entry in Leviton’s systems.
- Maintain, analyze, and reconcile past due debits to include 30, 60, and over 90 days.
- Provide Resolution Effort Reporting in Microsoft Excel to identify negative trends and track claim resolution.
- Collaborate with various departments such as outside salesforce, logistics, warehouse personnel, accounts receivable, and customers for resolution of claims.
- Chargeback and collect on invalid deductions.
- Escalate unresolved issues to management in a timely manner.
- Build rapport and maintain relationships across the organization that will assist in resolving root cause problems that result in deductions.
- Sustain transactional productivity per department’s guidelines.
- Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel
- Must have good analytical and organizational skills.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Capability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ experience in general office practices, with an understanding of claims (deductions) and collections.
- No travel required for this position
